Our dedicated team cultivates professional relationships with participants to ensure they have access to the opportunities they deserve, through 30-plus programs and over 200 staff in the region.
McMan is looking for Relief Youth Workers for our Youth Residential Programs in Lethbridge.
We are looking for Relief Workers for various programs at McMan in Lethbridge. The programs include Parkside Group Home (ages 12-17) and Personalized Community Care (ages 11-17).
Here’s how you will contribute as a Relief Youth Worker:
- Create positive interactions to enhance social skills, connection to the community, recreational opportunities; helping participants by using an approach that is strengths-based, participant-centered, from a trauma informed and harm reduction lens.

- Hourly wage: $21.54/hr; $15.00/hr sleep shifts, $3.00/hr shift differential on awake shifts between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am.
- Employee and Family Assistance Program for counselling, legal, financial, and nutritional support.
Here’s what you’ll need to get an interview:
- Degree/Diploma in human services, social sciences, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Understanding of cognitive and physical disabilities, addictions, and mental health.
- Experience working with youth and families, as well as working with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, coaching and intervention skills.
- Strong computer skills (MS Office)
- Current Standard First Aid CPR Level C or CSA Standard Z1210-17 Intermediate First Aid Certificate.
- Clear Intervention Record Check and clear Criminal Record Check with vulnerable sector dated within past six months.
- Valid Alberta Driver’s License, Driver’s Abstract, and use of reliable vehicle with $2M Third Party Liability insurance.
