Director of Camp Girouette| August 2024

Mission: 

Plan, organize and facilitate the 2024 Weathervane Camp which will take place from August 19 to 23, 2024 and from August 26 to 28, 2024. This person works closely with the ACFA's management and acts as the person in charge. Together with the helpers (assistants), she takes care of the planning and running of the camp.

Responsibilities and duties: 

• Organize and coordinate activities for the camp;
• Make a detailed schedule and an activity guide according to the chosen theme;
• Recruit special guests;
• Make the necessary reservations or purchases for the camp;
• Supervise and direct assistants;
• Supervise and animate a group of children from 5 to 12 years old;
• Be responsible for the premises and the cleanliness of the premises;
• Use French as a language of communication;
• Forward communications to parents;
• Ensure that the camp runs smoothly;
• Provide a report at the end of the camp.

Requirements: 

• The candidate must be 18 years of age or older. A minimum of experience with children is required for this position.
• The candidate must be available from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. from August 19 to 23, 2024 and from August 26 to 28, 2024 and must set up a detailed schedule and an activity guide before the start of the camp.
• Fluency in oral and written French is mandatory.
